Client privacy and data security are a top priority for Blast Group Inc. (i.e., "BLAST"). We take every precaution possible to ensure that your privacy, any data or information you share with BLAST is protected. Our Customer Privacy and Data Security Policy (i.e., "Policy") is outlined below, covering the types of customer information shared and used, and the steps we take to protect your privacy, data and information.

By using the BLAST website, Solutions or participating in a Blast course or workshop, you confirm you agree to the following Terms and Conditions and have read and understood this Privacy Policy. 1. Key Terms Used

In this Privacy Policy, we use the term “Customer(s)” (including visitors to our site) to mean consumers of our Products and Services. Customers include but are not limited to the legal business entity, its subsidiaries, affiliates, or authorized representatives such as executives, other management and employees in general of such companies. “BLAST” (or “we”, “us” or “our”), referred to in this Policy  refers to Blast Group Inc.. Blast Group Inc. is a corporation federally registered in Canada. BLAST Group Inc., is also a Corporation registered in the province of Quebec, Canada. Our "Products and Services" are generally referred to as "BLAST Solutions" (or "Solutions") and/or BLAST Courses (“Courses”), and include professional services, information reports and Course materials delivered to customers as part of BLAST Products and Services. The term "Customer Information" includes all information shared by Customers with BLAST throughout their experience with BLAST.

2. Privacy Policy Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to all information shared with BLAST while a Customer uses the BLAST website, Solutions or Courses.

3. Customer Information Collected

BLAST collects and/or is exposed to the following information, which we generally refer to as "Customer Information":

  • Contact Information - To the extent that Customers contact us, order Solutions or create Accounts, BLAST will ask Customers to provide basic contact information including email address, first name, last name, company name and telephone number. When creating an Account, BLAST will also ask Customers to create a password for their account that they use to access their Account.

  • Ordering and Payment Information - In the event that Customers buy BLAST Solutions, BLAST also asks Customers for limited payment information including credit card information, billing address, telephone number.

  • Correspondence - Emails, remarks and other communications that Customers send to BLAST or otherwise contribute, such as customer support inquiries or posts to our customer message boards or forums.

  • Company Information - In order to fulfill Solutions to Customers, BLAST may ask Customers to provide information such as samples of reports, plans and data. To the extent a Solution relies on online survey tools to gather input, Customers may be asked to provide opinions, observations, ratings, attributes and other similar categories of information as part of the survey process. BLAST may also gather these same types of information from Customers via meetings, face-to-face interviews or telephone conversations.

4. Customer Information Use and Protection

While information cannot be fully secure in any environment, BLAST takes a number of precautions to improve the security of Customer information captured and shared while engaged with BLAST. We use and protect Customer Information in the following manner:

  • Relationship Management - BLAST uses Customer Contact Information, Ordering Information and Correspondence to contact, interact with Customers and support their needs. BLAST securely stores this information (see Information Security and Confidentiality below) for its own use in serving customers. It does not disclose or share such information with third parties except as noted in the other categories of Customer Information Use described below.

  • Ordering and Payments - BLAST uses Customer Ordering and Payment Information to manage and fulfill Customer Orders and Payment Transactions. Customer Order Information is securely stored by BLAST and Squarespace, our website service provider. Payment Information is securely conveyed to Stripe.com, our payment processing partner, and used by Stripe.com to fulfill customer purchase and refund transactions. BLAST does not collect or share payment information with any third party except Stripe.com. Given its sensitivity, Customer Purchase Information is not retained or stored by BLAST in any form or manner.  

  • Solution Fulfillment - BLAST uses a Customer's Company Information in analysis, synthesis, interpretation, comparison, recommendations and reports delivered to the Customer. According to Customer preference, BLAST uses one of three options for secure external file sharing with Customers: (1) Citrix FileShare. Citrix is recognized by Gartner Group as an industry leader in secure Enterprise File Synchronization and Sharing (EFSS); (2) Microsoft Office 365 OneDrive secure file sharing, in the event BLAST and a Customer decide to share files in a common workspace; (3) Any secure file sharing service prescribed by the Customer. Citrix FileShare and MS Office365 OneDrive both rely on the email of secure links providing access limited to specific users for limited timeframes. Both services rely on industry standards for secure file sharing. Upon engagement, BLAST will discuss secure file sharing options with the Customer, and follow the secure file sharing arrangements chosen by the Customer. Important: To support the confidentiality of the Customer during Solution fulfillment, BLAST applies a Client Code to all files and documents, replacing the Customer name. All Company Information is segregated and stored separately from other clients by BLAST during the engagement, with access limited to only those BLAST advisors and analysts involved in Solution delivery to the Customer.

  • Solution Development - In order to improve our Solutions, BLAST asks Customers for feedback on the Solutions they receive. In offering such feedback, Customers accept that BLAST may use the information to conduct research and development (R&D) and enhance its Solutions and Solution offering. Customers also accept that BLAST may change or improve upon its Solutions as a result of Solution fulfillment. Customers accept that any improvements made to BLAST Solutions or Solution offering made as a result of Customer feedback or Solution fulfillment with the Customer constitute Intellectual Property owned by Blast Group Inc. Customers will not make any claim whatsoever on the intellectual property owned by BLAST. We nonetheless protect the confidentiality of the Customer and Company Information in any Solution Development.   • Blast Course Participation - While participating in BLAST Courses, Customers represent themselves and their organization, sharing information which may be considered confidential by the Customer. Due to the open nature of Blast Courses (i.e., participants from different organizations or the public at large), Customers participating in BLAST Courses do so with the understanding that BLAST in no way is responsible for information shared by a Customer during or in conjunction with a BLAST Course. Customers participating in BLAST Courses retain full accountability for their information. As such, BLAST is not liable for information a Customer shares, nor any use (or misuse) of such information by other Customers participating in BLAST Courses.

  • Compliance With Legal, Regulatory and Third Party Obligations - It is incumbent upon the Customer to notify BLAST of any legal, regulatory or third party obligations (including special handling instructions) for any information shared by the Customer with BLAST. In purchasing BLAST Solutions, the Customer accepts this responsibility and indemnifies and saves BLAST harmless for any liability or damages caused by the Customer sharing any information with BLAST. From time to time, state legal and/or regulatory authorities may request information about BLAST business or its Customers. In this regard, BLAST will comply with all applicable laws and regulations subject to applicable laws and regulations regarding Customer confidentiality and privacy.

5. Cookies

BLAST may use browser cookies on our site to understand your visit to our Site. A "cookie" is a small amount of data that is sent from a Web server to your browser and stored on your computer's hard drive. Use of cookies allows BLAST to understand and improve the quality of your customer experience. We use cookies to understand which areas of our site are most popular with our Customers. You can erase or block cookies from your computer hard drive by going to the Preferences section of your web browser. Please refer to your browser instructions or visit www.aboutcookies.org for more information. Please be advised that certain sections or functionalities of the Site may be inaccessible to you if your browser does not accept cookies.

This website may use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. In such cases, the information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. 6. Customer Information Sharing

BLAST does not share Customer Information with any third party, with two exceptions:

  • Data Collection, Processing and Analytics - Depending on the Solution, BLAST may engage a third party to contribute to the collection, processing and analysis of information as part of Solution fulfillment. In such cases, Customer information and the Customer's unique Solution needs may be shared with the third party. Third parties engaged in Solution fulfillment are contractually obligated to follow BLAST's Customer Information and Privacy Policy as documented herein. BLAST may also use 3rd party applications such as online survey tools to collect data from customers. Where such use occurs, Customers will be given a customer code for use when entering data to protect the identity of the Customer.

  • Customer-directed Sharing - From time-to-time, Customers may request that BLAST share the outputs of or information about Solution fulfillment with third parties. BLAST will share such information upon the Customer's written request. On matters BLAST or the Customer deem sensitive, BLAST reserves the right to refuse sharing such information with third parties. In such cases, BLAST will advise the Customer. At no time will BLAST share information with third parties claiming to represent the Customer or involved with the Customer. 

7. Your Rights and Choices

Where applicable law requires (and subject to any relevant exceptions under law), you may have the right to access, update, change or delete Customer Information.

You can access, update, change or delete Contact Information by accessing your Customer Account. If you haven't created a Customer Account, you can have your Contact Information updated, changed or deleted by contacting BLAST and, in writing, requesting the required changes. You can exercise your other rights (including deleting your Account) by contacting us as well. You can also elect not to receive any marketing or correspondence from BLAST by contacting BLAST and making such a request in writing. BLAST will retain Customer Information in order to comply with the law, protect our and others’ rights, resolve disputes or enforce our legal terms or policies, to the extent permitted under applicable law. You may have the right to restrict or object to the processing of your Customer Information or to exercise a right to data portability under applicable law.

Additionally, if we rely on consent for the processing of your Customer Information, you have the right to withdraw it at any time and free of charge. When you do so, this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before your consent withdrawal.

8. Version and Updates to this Privacy Policy

This Policy was last updated and thereby effective November 13, 2024 (the “Effective Date”). The Policy will be updated from time to time to reflect changes in technology, law, our business operations or any other reason we determine is necessary or appropriate. The “Effective Date” will be updated as changes are made.

We encourage you to check back periodically to review this Privacy Policy for any changes since your last visit. This will help ensure you better understand your relationship with us, including the ways we process and protect your personal information.
